About

Meet Rob and Kelsey, a dedicated husband & wife team committed to delivering the highest quality mental health services.

Licensed therapist, specialist in OCD. Helps with anxiety, stress management, sleep problems, and more.

“I like to take a non-judgmental and collaborative approach to therapy.”

Kelsey Irving, LCMHC, LPC

My favorite part about treating OCD is watching my clients transform from fearful to feisty. Seeing my clients gain confidence by pushing themselves inspires me to live outside of my own comfort zone!

All of my clients receive evidence-based treatment, but therapy is not a one-size-fits all. As I get to know you, I will tailor treatment to your specific needs and preferences. Having said that, if you’re not willing to work hard then I may not be the right therapist for you. I will encourage you to really challenge yourself so that you can reach your goals.

I see it as my job to hold you accountable and cheer you on as you strive for progress. I also believe spirituality is undoubtedly linked to our mental and emotional health, so that often becomes tied into my sessions. My clients sometimes tell me that if they’re on the verge of taking the easy way out, my voice pops into their head and asks, “What would the best version of you do?”

Background:

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Saint Michael’s College and my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University. I was professionally trained in ERP while working at Rogers Behavioral Health's intensive outpatient program, where we helped thousands of clients regain their freedom from OCD.

I am passionate about helping those with anxiety disorders, and consider anyone engaged in ERP therapy to be a total bad ass!

I am on the Board of Directors for New Hampshire’s branch of the International OCD Foundation, OCDNH.

“I focus on treating the individual rather than the diagnosis.”

Robert Irving, PMHNP

Psychiatrist in Seacoast New Hampshire. Specialist in OCD and anxiety. Medication can help with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more.

Rob Irving provides psychiatric services for adults residing in New Hampshire.

Even if two people share the same diagnosis, they are each unique. What works best for one person may differ for another. My specialty lies in medication management and psychotherapeutic techniques, but I place significant value on assessing life circumstances, addressing stressors, and identifying what brings positivity and meaning to your life.

My approach to treatment is integrative which means I believe medication is only part of the solution, not the whole thing. I work with my clients to explore how they can incorporate healthier habits on a daily basis to improve their quality of life.

Background:

I graduated as both a psychiatric nurse practitioner and a family nurse practitioner from Vanderbilt University after earning my Bachelor’s degree in nursing at Drexel University. In addition to my formal education and professional training, I have personal experience with OCD. I deeply respect anyone who seeks treatment, and I believe it's something to feel proud of. I find fulfillment in paying it forward by assisting my own clients.

Why the bison?

When there is a storm approaching, most animals will travel the other way in an attempt to avoid it. But the storm just moves along with them causing them continued stress and suffering. The bison has a different approach. Bison walk directly into the storm so that they can get through to the other side more quickly. That is what Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is all about! Whatever it is you’re trying to avoid, I can guide you through taking that challenge head-on until you emerge on the other side.
